Lichen Glen Publishing

Publishers of Resistance is Fertile, Code of Conduction and the about to be printed The Quest of Olde Moss, an adventure of The Deptford Pixies;

Books of poetry and prose, and children's illustrated adventure stories in rhyme that inspire creativity and spark imagination.

Haiku, Japanese form poetry, seventeen syllables of taught description in themes.

The Haiku explore some lesser recognised people of science, art and society who's flame has been turned down, but who may need wider recognition.

There is also some whimsy and some original form Haiku exploring the environment and emotion. The whimsey is meant to be comedic, but still follow the convention of this form of Haiku.

A second exploration into the wonderful world of this short form of expression. Where a comma can cause so much consternation with the author.

Reflecting on the first booklet there were several other areas of Haiku to explore in terms of subject. And also some whimsey and further work on emotion.

And so there are more characters where I try to encapsulate there achiement, never as fully as they deserve, but all still meriting further illumination.

This adventure book about The Deptford Pixies is a wonderfully illustrated adventure story in rhyme.

They immerse the reader in adventurous tales of the last Pixies in the South, the fearsome Yatt, the menacing Vimnin and the wonderful  slimy Neverbe using playful language to ignite imaginations and nurture a love for reading.

The book is a there and back again adventure full of mystery, mischief peril and fun.

About Lichen Glen Publishing

Self published stories

Lichen Glen Publishing produce their own work, books, stories, poems and whimsey. We want readers to drift off into the white space between lines, make their own endings or be inspired to write, draw, doodle or paint their dreams.

With The Deptford Pixies we have worked to create beautifully illustrated imaginative adventure stories, that children want to read, reread, and then read again. And then make their own adventures.

Resistance is Fertile and Code of Conduction are collections of Haiku, a Japanese form of poetry in just three lines of seventeen syllables and the odd bit of punctuation. These all follow the 5-7-5 form of this poetry.

All are works of exploration and fun.
