Lichen Glen Publishing

Lichen Glen Publishing is an accident. A long time ago a poem was started, and it grew and changed; many, many times. 

Several people liked it, several enjoyed it. And over the years it kept changing and growing. Then one day, a wiser person called Kevin said 'this could be good, do something with it!'. 

So the writer finally did. Luckily he found this really good illustrator, who liked and more importantly, enjoyed the story. So they started to work together and the illustrated book project started, for fun and adventure. And as the ideas for the illustrations developed, and as conversations wandered and twisted, other ideas that sat on old bits of paper or were still wandering about in the authors head started to grow a bit more. 

Then one week all of these ideas, the scraps of verse, those wandering part forgotten thoughts came together, and at the end of the weekend there was a second book. But it was too big. So it became the second and fourth book. Why, another sapling had taken root in the space between when and now, this was the third book. With talons, flames and wings. And of course there is a fifth book, well an ending final story ending book, of course with Grugach, Wold Swan and Urisk.

And while this was going on other work, that had sat on a shelf, in a cupboard on on an old hard drive, was being dusted off. And a colleciton of Haiku was published for the authors fun, and to find out and test the hows and whys of how to. Publish. And there were mistakes, though not too costly. But this gave learning and understanding. But the Haiku also grew, and there was a second selection published. And more work was being dusted off, some of it is not very good, but a couple of things are now being prepared to add to the confusion.

But, the Pixies continued their adventure, and are now ready to publish and then their next journey will begin. Do they set off a second time?

The story of all of this is to do it. Don't worry about it. Do it. Do what Kevin says. Do it.
